Research Support
CRC 1270 ELAINE supports researchers at different stages of their scientific careers, including researchers working in a clinical environment. Through different funding measures, the CRC creates opportunities for both clinically active physicians and non-clinically active researchers to contribute to its research activities.
Clinical Scientists
During the first and second funding periods, University Medical Center Rostock provided funding from its institutional budget for temporary substitute positions. These positions allowed physicians to take time away from their clinical duties to conduct research within the CRC. To date, three physicians with doctoral degrees have benefited from this support. Building on this experience, University Medical Center Rostock continues to fund temporary substitute positions during the third funding period.
Further information will be provided here.
Medical Scientists
During the third funding period, University Medical Center Rostock also supports doctoral researchers through dedicated Medical Scientist positions for scientists who are not clinically active. This funding provides them with the opportunity to focus on their doctoral research within the CRC.
