The seventh annual IRTG Basics and Trends (BaTs) Workshop of our CRC 1270 ELAINE took place from June 30 to July 2, 2025, at Schloss Hasenwinkel. Throughout the two-and-a-half-day workshop, ELAINE project leaders, doctoral, and postdoctoral researchers presented talks and hosted workshops — offering informal insights into a broad range of research areas. This year's central theme: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on the practical application of AI tools in scientific research.
A big thank you to Nadine Berger (Scientific Coordinator IRTG) and the IRTG BaTs committee: Laura Lembcke (Spokesperson), Karl Peter Blynow, Jan Philipp Payonk, Hendrikje Raben, Meike Statz, and Jacob Thönes. Thank you all for organising this inspiring event and creating an excellent environment for exchange, learning, and collaboration among our IRTG members!
