Hanna Weber Receives Best Presentation Prize at the 13th German Scandinavian Meeting on Movement Disorders

We congratulate Hanna Weber, MSc, doctoral researcher in subproject C04, on receiving the Best Presentation Prize at the 13th German Scandinavian Meeting on Movement Disorders, held in Kiel/Gothenburg on January 23–24, 2026.

Her award-winning presentation, “Beyond motor control: STN-DBS triggers dopaminergic and behavioral changes in a preclinical rat model of Parkinson’s disease,” presents pioneering preclinical research on the effects and underlying mechanisms of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease, with a particular focus on non-motor symptoms.

The prize recognizes not only the scientific excellence and innovative character of her work, but also her outstanding presentation skills. We are delighted by this achievement and proud to count such exceptional research talent among the members of our CRC 1270 ELAINE community.
